Design Your Life

In the whirlwind of my career, I used to jolt awake 15 minutes before darting out the door. Breakfast was a luxury I couldn't afford; my car barely had time to defrost, and I raced to work like my life depended on it. I'd stumble into the office at 8:59 am, a ball of nerves and disarray, hardly ready for the day ahead. I was held captive by the cycle of disorganisation.

But then, I hit a breaking point. I realised I couldn't keep living on autopilot, letting the day dictate my every move.

So, I made a simple change—I started showing up to work earlier.

I carved out an extra hour before work began to read, write, and people watch. This modification to my week set the tone for a calmer, more intentional day. It was a total game-changer and impacted my physical and mental space.

Perhaps you've heard the saying, "If you don't have a plan for yourself, someone else will have a plan for you." And guess what they have planned? Not much.

Nobody’s getting up in the morning and dedicating their life to your fulfillment.
— John Demartini

Holidays are great, but their joy is fleeting. Your everyday routine is the source of your nourishment. I'm proposing a deeper, more sustainable vitamin to improve your quality of life. So, why not start mapping it out?

What's one thing you'd love to change and can start implementing tomorrow? Is it your work-life balance, your health, your relationships? Practise new habits in place of unhelpful ones. Take that first step towards the purpose-aligned life you want.

Key points

✽ Embrace small change for a big impact.

✽ Design your week with intention.
